What is Bullying?

Bullying is where an individual or a group of individuals are repeatedly verbally, physically, emotionally unkind to another individual or individuals, in order to gain power and dominance over them.

Verbal Bullying is the use of words in order to hurt or belittle them.

Cyber Bullying is the use of communication technology i.e mobile phones, tablets etc. as well as social media and instant messenger in order to hurt, threaten, make fun of an individual or group of individuals.

How we can support

Sussex Against Bullying can offer information and guidance to parents/guardians of young people being bullied. We offer a confidential, Non-judgemental service where we listen to each case and offer bespoke information and support, We can also offer mentoring support sessions to young people based in the County of Sussex, to access our mentoring service, please refer the young person to us.
